Kid Rock, who has long been one of the only openly conservative stars in the entertainment world, spoke out last week to predict that the former President Donald Trump will win the state of Michigan.
Kid Rock Sounds Off
“What do you think is going to happen in Michigan, though?” asked the Fox News host Laura Ingraham asked. “I mean, your home state going to wake up and decide, no mas, we’re not going to kill our auto industry with EVs, and he’s going to win it.”
Kid Rock held nothing back with his response.
“Trump’s winning. Trump’s winning Michigan. I mean, the auto workers are smart enough to know that EVs mean you’re getting replaced with a robot,” he replied emphatically. “They’re smart enough to know that. Everyone has Google.com. They can search it, whatever, like they know that this is coming.”
“You know, I applaud what Elon Musk is doing. I think that guy is a genius,” Kid Rock continued. “But in terms of Michigan, we’re going to make cars where we’re going to keep the industrial revolution alive. And we might have to innovate and go past that where things are going now. Am I getting off base here?”

Kid Rock Doubles Down
Not stopping there, Kid Rock proceeded to double down.
“[M]ichigan is the melting pot of America,” he explained. “When people came from the South after, you know, the Industrial Revolution, the Civil War, this that and the other, and they stopped in Chicago, and they came to Detroit to make a living wage, this that and the other. They’ve stuck around. There’s been generations there, including my family.”
“I’m going to do the opposite,” Kid Rock concluded. “I’m going to do the opposite of Biden. I mean, if you don’t fight — if you don’t vote for Donald Trump, you ain’t from Michigan.”

Kid Rock Defends Trump
In this same interview, Kid Rock defended Trump’s music taste as being “freakin’ the best.”
“[Trump’s] got so many good songs playing,” he said. “It’s a playlist I would play. I’ve heard of ‘House of the Rising Sun.’ I’ve even heard Springsteen songs, you know, Elvis, Elton John, and then there’d be these patriotic tunes… ”
“It’s awesome — freakin’ the best,” he added of Trump’s music taste. “How cool is it that he’s jamming out to music, having a good time — and by the way, he’s playing a lot of artists that probably don’t agree with his politics, to put it lightly, but what does that say about him as a man?”
Kid Rock has long been one of the only celebrities to publicly stand by Trump, and the two of them have developed a close personal friendship. Back in December, Kid Rock described Trump as the “Toughest son of a b**** on Earth.”
“He’s doing great, he’s incredible,” Kid Rock said of Trump, according to WPDE. “I love spending time with him, getting to know him. I think if you look at his track record and who he is as a whole, there’s a lot more good there than anything.”
Kid Rock should be applauded for continuing to stand by his good friend Trump despite all of the pressure from the entertainment world to abandon the former president. If only there were more celebrities out there who had the guts to do the same thing!
