The launch date of the new series of Intel Arrow Lake CPUs has reportedly been pushed back to the end of October 2024. There has been no official announcement regarding the launch date of the Intel Core Ultra 200, but there have been plenty of leaks and rumors. The October 10th date was initially rumored, but hardware leak sources now say that Intel has postponed the launch date.

These new Intel Core Ultra 200 series CPUs could be the company’s best chance to dethrone AMD, who has held second place for several years, and produce the best gaming CPU. So far, there has been no response to the performance boost that AMD’s 3D V-Cache provides to gamers since AMD released the technology in 2022.

The delay was reported by Hong Kong tech website HKEPC’s X/Twitter account, which suggests that Intel plans to launch its new Arrow Lake lineup on October 24th instead of October 10th. Few details have been revealed and it’s important to stress that this is still just speculation at this point – we won’t know the launch date for sure until Intel makes an official announcement.

HKEPC release date rumours trending on Twitter/X

The latest rumors suggest that Intel Arrow Lake will be priced in line with Intel’s current 14th generation chips, rather than charging a significant premium for the latest technology. It has also been officially confirmed that Intel Arrow Lake will not be manufactured by the company itself. Instead, third-party manufacturers will pick up the slack.

Regardless of where the chips come from, Intel absolutely needs success in this area to undo some of the reputational damage it has suffered. Intel found stability fixes for 13th and 14th generation chips, but it wasn’t enough to stop irreparable damage for many customers.

We still have over a month to wait, so in the meantime, we recommend taking a look at our Intel Core i9 14900K review to see just how good Intel’s current flagship product is. With AMD continuing to gain momentum with CPUs like the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, it makes sense that Intel wouldn’t be in a rush to make such a major launch.
