Sasikiran via Wikimedia Commons The field of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion appears to be on life support. Governors across the nation are instituting requirements to limit their influence on state-funded institutions. Many university administrators are reading the tea leaves and flat-out dissolving their DEI offices. Although, for anybody who thinks the DEI establishment intends to go down quietly without a fight, think again. The DEI warriors are doing what they do best: commiserating at a conference to craft their countermeasures. Unsurprisingly, an ideology built on victim-placing would cloak their intentions with rhetoric to match. 🚨New: Alabama GOP Governor Kay Ivey…

In this post, I’ll share with you my thoughts on the main pros and cons of living in Lisbon, Portugal’s beautiful capital. With its year-round sunshine, atmospheric cobblestone streets, colorful tiled buildings, and rich cultural and culinary scene, Lisbon is a pretty amazing place to live, all things considered. It’s one of my favorite cities in Europe and I’ve spent quite a lot of time there over the past few years. But, it’s not perfect. Nowhere is. Like any major capital city, Lisbon comes with its own set of advantages and disadvantages. Overall, I’d say the benefits of living in…

It’ll be more like a mini-spring season consisting of high mortgage rates, higher home prices, and just a trickle of inventory, as Fortune’s previously reported.   But there is one week that’ll be the best time to sell all year, according to Realtor.com. “The week of April 14–20 is expected to have the ideal balance of housing market conditions that favor home sellers, more so than any other week in the year,” Realtor.com’s economic…

Screenshot: Bill O’Reilly Former Fox News personality Bill O’Reilly heavily criticized NBC’s on-air talent after several hosts took exception to the hiring of former RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel. McDaniel, as is often the case amongst GOP figures upon being separated from their position, secured a contributor contract with a network they spent years criticizing as being biased. But some NBC hosts took umbrage with the fact that their own network would hire an opposing viewpoint. Former Meet the Press moderator Chuck Todd was perhaps the most vocal saying, “There’s a reason why there’s a lot of journalists at NBC News…

Wedbush Securities tech analyst Dan Ives returned from a trip to Asia this month with good news—the brutal war for control over China’s EV looked like it was subsiding as prices bottomed out.  “There is a sense from industry checks within the country and region that many of these price cuts are starting to subside into spring/summer, which is good news for Tesla and the EV industry,” he predicted two weeks ago.  But ‘starting’ may prove to be the operative word as Elon Musk’s arch rival, Chinese EV maker BYD, just lowered the bar to purchase its flagship Seal EV…

Russia launched missiles against Kyiv for the third time in five days, part of an apparent escalation of the aerial bombardment of Ukrainian cities as the war stretches into its third year with the front line largely stationary. Five people were injured in the strike on the Ukrainian capital, with two of them taken to hospital, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said. Russia fired two ballistic missiles at Kyiv from occupied Crimea in the daylight attack, but both were intercepted above the city, said Serhiy Popko, the head of the city’s military administration. Multiple explosions were heard in the capital, in…

I’m sure everyone has heard enough about President Biden’s recent State of the Union address, certainly enough to know that the mainstream media thought it was admirable of Biden to scream at the top of his lungs that Republicans are detestable worms. You also probably heard enough from the media to be certain that Sen. Katie Britt, who delivered the response to Biden, is a lying, detestable Republican worm. But as humorist Will Rogers noted, if all you know is what you read in the newspapers (or in updated form, what you see on cable news), then you are woefully misinformed.Take…
