I was 13 when I went on my first diet. I had been struggling with my weight for about six years, and my obsession with how I looked was starting to dominate my life. Earning points and miles is the best way to fly more for less. It’s the way I’ve been able to stay on the road for so long — and I’ve seen what a difference it’s made for my readers too. I write a lot about the best credit cards to get depending on your travel goals, but I’ve talked less about how to use those points. Today, I want to change that because I keep getting emails from people talking about how it takes too many points to book a flight. When I follow up, it is because they are…

US President Joe Biden has vowed not to “play politics” with the southern border and immigration – a potentially tall order as the US hurtles toward the November presidential election. Mr Biden’s comments came on what he called a “good day” in which he announced an executive order aimed at protecting hundreds of thousands of undocumented spouses of US citizens from deportation and allowing them to work in the US. His actions, however, have drawn criticism from Republicans and some fellow Democrats alike, forcing the president into a complex juggling act. Polls show that a majority of voters see immigration…

Growing up pizza night was always a big hit in our house. I’ve since implemented it with my own kids and they’re big pizza fans as well. Instead of ordering expensive (and unhealthy!) takeout or a frozen grocery store pizza, I opt for homemade. I’ve tried several different versions over the years, and the latest is this chicken crust pizza. It’s a low-carb pizza crust that’s a twist on my meatza recipe! Chicken Crust Pizza The kids and I love pizza crust made with ground beef, but this yummy version uses ground chicken instead. I also use four times the…

In America, where we tend to celebrate successful individuals who turn ideas into multi-million-dollar companies, it’s a little odd to think of a CEO—especially one heading a company as colossal as Shein—going unrecognized by his own employees.  And yet, that’s apparently the case for Shein’s 40-year-old CEO Xu Yangtian, also known as Chris Xu or Sky Xu, who has largely avoided the public eye including interviews and conferences—but the secrecy around him is being seen as unusual even in China.   Shein has never published any photos of Xu, South China Morning Post reported, even as the firm records year after…
