Can UCLA win in Big Ten debut? Five things to watch against Indiana

UCLA’s defense held the Rainbow Warriors to just three points and 100 yards in the second half in an attempt to mount a comeback, but what does it all mean?

The answer may come against an Indiana offense that scored 108 points in two games and set school records for points and total yards (701) in a 77-3 victory over Western Illinois.

“I mean, any time you score 77 points, that’s a dynamic offense,” Bruins linebacker Carson Schwesinger said.

The Hoosiers have experience at key positions in sixth-year quarterback Curtis Luke and seventh-year running back Tysan Lawton, and they’re an incredibly well-rounded team averaging 278.5 yards rushing and 279 yards passing.

The Bruins seem to think the solution to stopping the latter is to stop the former.

“If they’re only getting four, five or six yards per carry, we’re not going to be able to rush the pass and they’re just going to run it all day,” UCLA edge rusher Jacob Busick said.
