Who is this limited time Hilton Credit Card offer good for?

If you’ve been on the fence about a new credit card, then perhaps a bump of multiple tens of thousands of points is the carrot that gets you there. Those extra bonus points can help you towards scoring extra free nights on your next vacation.

Who shouldn’t take advantage of this limited time offer?

If you’re on the fence about a new credit card, or you don’t foresee yourself staying at many Hilton hotels, then maybe pass on the offer for now. This offer is great for those who can see themselves using the points in the near future for a stay.

American Express often puts “lifetime language” into their credit card applications, meaning that if you applied for this card in the past you might not be able to earn the bonus again. If you think that might be you, double check that you qualify for this extra bonus promotion. American Express will let you know if you try to apply and you are not eligible, giving you an opportunity to cancel the application if you do not qualify for the bonus.

How to redeem Hilton Honors rewards

So now that you’ve decided to walk away with at least 100,000 Hilton points, and perhaps up to 175,000 Hilton Honors points after applying, what are you going to do with all of them? Well, stay in hotels, of course!

Hilton doesn’t have a published award chart, so you’re going to have to choose your destination and dates to see how much they’ll charge for a night at a hotel you’re interested in going to.

One amazing benefit of redeeming your points with Hilton is their fifth night free benefit offered to members who have silver status or higher, which all three of these cards offer. When you redeem your points for a five night minimum stay, your fifth night is free, meaning you’ll only pay for the first four nights. This will make your points even more valuable and net you even longer vacations.

As an example, let’s say you’ve always wanted to go to Cape Town to explore the wineries, amazing history and unique Malay food culture. The Doubletree Cape Town East is only 18,000 points for the first night, a steal for a hotel close to the center of town.

As you walk through the check out process, you can see that Hilton removed the fifth night cost, making the cost for your entire five night stay only 71,000 points.

Applying for this credit card can get you a week or more of free hotel stays in many cities all over the world.

Are these Hilton Credit Cards right for you?

If you’ve got a hotel stay coming up where a hundred thousand points or more can snag you some free nights, then consider adding these cards. Remember that you’ll also earn bonus points on grocery stores, restaurants, and gas stations, so your points earned after your welcome bonus can get a big boost. If you’re not planning a hotel stay, then perhaps sit this one out.
